The Maine Renaissance Faire brings together actors, artisans, history buffs, and fantasy lovers in a two weekend event packed with performances, food, and fun. The setting is the Village of Yorkshire in the year 1571. Visitors will be welcomed at the Opening Gate ceremony by Queen Elizabeth I and her court along with a bevy of raucous villagers. Faire goers will be entertained by a unique schedule of performances including aerial acrobatics, jousting, live steel combat, comedy shows, belly dancing, Celtic and medieval music, and more. With over 9 stages and 24 shows there is truly something for everyone!
